I aim to bridge the gap between machine learning and sustainability in urban practices, and worker safety.

I am a research team lead at the Schindler EPFL Lab in Lausanne, working on RGB-thermal 3D reconstruction, multimodal sensor fusion, and robotics for the built environment.

My work turns multimodal sensing into practical tools: thermal digital twins that guide building retrofit decisions (INSULATED), and AI-based safety systems for workers on construction sites (Safety Coach).

I secured two Innosuisse grants as Principal Investigator (587k CHF total), co-direct two PhD theses, and have supervised 10 Master theses and 16 internships — leading to 6 patents and publications at ICRA, IROS, and ECCV.

The Bayesian Brain

A digital garden is a collection of imperfect notes, essays, and ideas growing slowly over time. Mine is named the bayesian brain and is a collection of thoughts and interesting facts related to research, programming, and outdoor activities.
